Wow! That’s amazing and an amazing lot of work I imagine. Really impressive!! Guess that unit is a bit to noisy to have standing next to me
You get those mainboard 3D files complete as CAD? I once needed a mainboard for some concept but it’s really hard to find such things as 3D file.
Our 3D systems are quite complex. KeyShot is great at converting CAD files, too.
I use the Geometry Tool to fix model, but sometimes, I still need 3ds Max to revise 3D models.
I’m excited to see KeyShot getting better, so we can achieve ideas more easily.
Great stuff, Norman! I am wondering when you need to use 3ds Max to revise your 3D models? What are the issues that you fix outside of KS?
As you know, 3d model from CAD isn’t like we make in 3ds max, Blender or Maya. After conversion, we might need to add some segments or merge some vertices, or it is too complicate so I can hide or set IDs in 3ds max which is faster to me to separate elements.
BTW, “Re-Tessellate” in KS is a very good function, it keeps the shape and reduce polygons efficiently. But… once a CAD object has been converted by 3ds max, when I import it to KS, I can’t use Re-Tessellate anymore. That’s sad.
This is one of the more impressive animations I’ve seen done in KeyShot. Not only is it a long animation, but you’ve got many, many things going on. And lots of geometry in there as well. Really good job! I imagine the render time was only like a few hours on one of these machines, haha.
Thanks! Rendering by 2 Nvidia 3090 without NV-link run very well, and Supermicro Workstation with KeyShot handled Triangles very well. As you can see the triangles my project has are huge, I can work smoothly compared to other 3d software.
Ah, yes! That makes sense. Nice hardware setup!
